Final Product
My final show was lost due to technical problems with the computer in the TV studio. However, my evaluation has an overview of my final show and there will be more content on my blog about TV productions I am working on in college.
Evaluation
To begin with, my presenter (Louis) presentation style had a lot of enthusiasm and was committed to keep the audience interested in my how. He understood about the timings of my VT when it was being broadcasted with help from the floor manager. He asked questions from the script I created and I felt very happy with the way he approached the questions as he wanted to get as much information from me so Louis and the audience understand what my item is and why I choose it.
Firstly, I felt happy with my presentation style and did my best to give hints about what my item was. I created a script which contained questions about my item the presenter would ask. Furthermore, I created responses to those questions and it helped my presentation style because I knew what answers I had to give to the presenter and I knew how to make answers clear and informative so my audience understand about the information I need to give to them.
Furthermore, the production team worked very well together to make sure the production went well and fixed any technical problems if they occurred.
Secondly, I felt my final product was successful to my target audience because of my informative style and content. These are important reasons for my final product because my informative style kept the audience interested and happy when watching my final product.
My content, featured video clips to keep the audience entertained and informed. I decided to create my VT hint as a story because I felt choosing any other ideas from my mind map could reveal more about the item and it would not keep my target audience interested as they may already know what my item may be.
Thirdly, my product communicates well to my target audience as my show contained an origin story about my item which will keep my target audience interested . Next, my item hint VT was inspired by a scene from a film franchise and I wanted my VT to be entertaining for my audience as they will understand about why I was inspired to create my VT.
Finally, I developed important technical skills when helping other people with their shows and learned about each roles advantages and disadvantages.
The most important job role I did was in the Sound Booth and I learned about the advantages and disadvantages when using the equipment.
Advantages
- Controlling Studio and VT sounds
- Muting sounds when broadcasting a show
- Learning about the different levels of control
- Quick multitasking
Disadvantages
- Stopping a broadcast if the presenter’s mic is broken or for a title sequence
- If a mic’s sound level is too high or faulty it may disturb other people who are doing important job roles
Overall, I feel very happy with final product because the production team and presenter worked hard to make sure there were no problems when broadcasting and making sure the broadcast was successful. I also felt happy learning different production roles especially the job role for the sound booth as I learned more knowledge about the media equipment and learning more skills too.
