Summary of Horror Test project
My lecturer has set me the task of creating a horror test. The purpose of this test is to show my skills in this genre and what I can do with my skills to create a horror project. On this page, you will find pre production work of my horror test. For example, you will find my mind maps that I created that show’s what my ideas are for this horror test project I am doing.

Pitch film scene
Below you will find a scene I created with the help of some classmates and this is an pitch film scene of how this could also be developed into a final product.
I would also like to say a huge thank you to my classmates too who helped me and guided during the making of this film scene. None of this would of been possible without their support.

Horror test project conclusion
I presented my short horror pitch film scene to my class and lecturer. I had great feedback. Eg: camera angles and foley sounds. And I was also given points on how to improve for my next project. For example, my lecturer suggested that I should use research to help me with my ideas and pre production because it will help me explore my idea more and make me understand the genre more too.
Another example, was when one of my class mates suggested that one of the foley sounds at the beginning felt unnecessary and it didn’t be in there. This is a helpful point because it made me think of where to place foley sounds in genre tests I want to do. In addition, this will help me think of where how the sounds can create story more investing and appealing to the audience.
The people who helped me with this project also suggested to me to have storyboards to help me visual what I wanted to see in my project. I used my mind maps and film production notes to help me with when doing the filming as these notes would help me visual what I wanted to see. But, this advice was helpful because if I created storyboards it would helped me a lot more with my filming.
To summarise, all the feedback people gave me for my project has helped me to understand how I need to use more methods to help me create my project and use more methods to help me prepare myself for more genre test projects.
