Summary of pitch task
I was given a task by my lecturers to pitch an idea for a tv and radio product for my fmp. The point of this task is to demonstrate my skills in pitching. The primary and secondary research tasks I was given helped me with my pitch because I was able to find out more about more ideas for my product and it helped summarise my ideas too.
Below you will find a summary of my initial response of ideas for a practice pitch. And, you will find two other summary’s of my final practice pitch and my pitch performance.
Initial response summary
One of my tasks was to do a practice pitch and understand the audiences responses to my ideas. At the top you can see a picture of me explaining some of my ideas for my product to my media group. I showed them my mind maps and a summary table for my products. The audience liked my ideas and they gave me good feedback on how I can improve for my final practice pitch.
For example, one of the audiences members stated how will my content and ideas work for my product. One of these ideas was my idea to do a technology show of comparing apple and samsung products. This response was helpful as it made me think of what ideas would work for my final product and thinking of how to further improve my ideas.
Overall, I feel that this practice presentation for my pitch went very well as it gave me an opportunity to show people my potential ideas for my products and how audience feedback can help me further improve my ideas.
Summary of final practice pitch
For this task, I had to present my final product idea to my media group. After my first practice pitch, my primary research results helped me decide my final idea for my products.
When I did this practice presentation I showed my audience what I had thought of so far for my final product. For example, content, decided product category and set design ideas.
This practice presentation went well and I had good feedback from my group. They asked questions about my product. For example, one of the audience members asked how will my product appeal to my audience. This question helped me because it allowed me to think of my target audience more and learn how I can make my product more appealing.
They also gave me feedback on how I can improve my presentation skills. Some of the suggestions were: more confidence, keeping everything short to the point and expanding more of my ideas.
These suggestions helped me because it made me think of how I could improve my presentation skills for my final pitch.
To summarise, this practice pitch was very good because it allowed me to show my final idea to the audience and how their feedback can help me improve for my final presentation.
Summary of final presenation
I presented my final pitch to my classmates and lecturers. For this final pitch I showed my audience my product ideas. And, I had expanded my ideas more too so the audience understood more about my product.
I showed them what I would include for my final product: target audience, influences, telling them about how my results helped me and how I plan on promoting my show.
I learned from my feedback from my final practice presentation too and I felt that improved my skills a lot when I was doing my final pitch.
One of the questions my audience members asked after I pitched my idea was, why I wanted to grow my products. This was a good question because it allowed me to break down my information into more detail for the audience and make them understand of why I decided to include this in my pitch.
Overall, I felt that this final pitch presentation went very well and I improved a lot when presenting my product ideas to my group thanks to the feedback my group gave me in my final practice pitch.
