Question 1

Screen Shot 2017-04-01 at 19.40.21Responce 2 Q1

For question one, one respondent said lifestyle was their favourite category and the other said film was their favourite.

Both, these responses mean that they prefer these media categories to be made into a media product. And, they are apart of a target audience that has interest that is related to that media category.

Question 2

Responce 1 q2Responce 2 Q2

For question two, both respondents once again had different answers. Choice one and two were their favourite tv format.

In short, their answers show that they prefer a certain format for a TV show because this is how they would like to see the show be formatted and it can also be because of them being a part of a target audience that likes a tv show to be formatted in a certain way.

Question 3

Responce 1 q3Responce 2 q3

For question three, both respondents like to see a comedic presenting style on TV.

To summarise, the respondents want to see a comedic style because funny and comical presenters are popular presenters for tv. A comedic presenter could also be preferred by them and their target audience.

In summary, these choices were there favourite because they must be apart of more than one target audience for radio and each different radio station plays different music genres that the respondent is appealed too.

Question 6

Responce 1 q6Responce 2 q6

For question six, once again both respondents had different answers for this question. Film news and real life stories were their answers.

To summarise, the respondents had different answers because depending on what target audience they are apart of a certain subject  is talked about on radio such as film or entertainment stories, and therefore a certain subject can appeal to them and the target audience.

Primary research third method – (focus group)

For my third primary research method I did a focus group. Below you will find me asking questions to a focus group asking them about what they would like to see for a TV show.

The results helped me understand which ideas are the strongest to create a tv an d radio show. Also, a class friend helped me write down a tally result sheet for my focus group and it helped me understand who put up their hands for one of the question’s choices.

Question 2

For question two, I asked people what tv format they would like too see. Nine people wanted a presenter led format for a tv show. Two people wanted a panel discussion for a tv show. No one wanted an interview format for a tv show.

Question 3

For question three, this was about what presenting style the focus group would like to see. Choice two was the strongest as ten people put their hands up for this choice. Choice three was the second strongest, this was responded by six people. Choice one was the weakest as it was only responded by one.

For question five, this was about what the focus group would like to see in the entertainment category. Eight people responded and would like to see a viral internet challenge show. The second choice was only responded by one person whom would like to see a theatre society performance.

In summary, the first choice of a viral internet challenge show is the most popular, therefore making it a very strong a idea for an entertainment show. The second choice was the least popular which means it is not a strong idea for an entertainment show.
